The Application Engineer (AE) is the key connection between Siemens EDA and its customers. It’s a dynamic & challenging role, requiring deep technical expertise and strong communication & business skills.

Our hybrid work model allows you to flexibly work from home, at customer sites or on-site at any of our 18 locations within Germany.
You will work as part of an account team to drive the growth of Siemens EDA functional verification business in Europe, through the successful adoption and expansion of Siemens EDA products and services.

Drive business for Siemens EDA using hands-on technical expertise. This requires working directly with customers as a part of an account team.
Provide customer verification methodology guidance, verification tools training, and verification problem identification & resolution.
Build & maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers, understanding their technical needs & challenges.
Manage multiple customer issues concurrently, prioritizing activities as required. Work with design & verification engineers as well as their level managers.
Provide technical feedback to Siemens EDA product development teams relating to critical issues and recommended product enhancements.

Education: MSEE (or equivalent) required with 3+ years’ experience or BSEE (or equivalent) with 5+ years’ experience in design & functional verification.
Experience should include:
A strong understanding of design and verification concepts in ASIC & FPGA flows is required.
Expert RTL coder including clock/reset and low power design & verification techniques.
Experienced with simulation and debug tools, with understanding of how to configure & optimize tools for maximum efficiency.
Verification planning and management experience with block level and top-level designs.
Expert in HDL coding (VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog) is mandatory; UVM, PSL/SVA expertise would be preferred.
Experience of a Functional Safety process & flow is a plus.
Experience with Linux and Windows environments including scripting languages.
Excellent presentation and communication skills are required.
Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
English mandatory / German preferable
Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally)
