The exciting, fast growing Digital Industry Software Division of Siemens is looking for an Infrastructure Architects for our Professional Services Life Cycle Services team. The Life Cycle Services team focus’ on our Teamcenter products!
Position Overview:
As a Siemens Infrastructure Architect, responsible for the translation of business requirements into specific process aligned infrastructure designs for the Siemens Digital Industry Software solution based standard methodologies in the subject area, for the Siemens Digital Industry Software solution to deliver market leading solutions and contribute to the customer. In line with project processes and messaging, be compatible with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption by demonstrating the complete Siemens Delivery framework.
As part of the Professional Services team, you will work with Consultants, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Industry Experts and Product Development teams to ensure project and customer success.
Responsibilities:
Act as infrastructure consultant to strategic Sales/Pre-Sales pursuits and Services projects, providing mentorship through the complexity of Infrastructure architecture options and the long-term roadmap for the solution
Act as the authority on infrastructure architectural design to address business problems
Provides direction for infrastructure design, sizing, security recommendations, database, Operating system, and network recommendations, system monitoring, and performance optimization internally or at customer sites. Consults on strategic and/or sophisticated Enterprise projects at country level, of diverse scope that require specialist expertise and high levels of technical leadership
Works under self-management within project and/ or task constraints and will determine solutions, methods, and procedures on assignments/projects
Leverage relevant templates in the deployment of project solutions in own specialist area and supply to best practices and templates
Expected travel requirements: 25%
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Required minimum 10 years of experience implementing (software installation) and upgrading moderately sophisticated Siemens Teamcenter environments
Experienced and knowledgeable with Operating Systems (Windows/Linux), Databases (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL), Web Tiers (JBoss/WildFly/Tomcat/WebSphere/WebLogic/IIS), Networks, Computer Systems and Storage Devices
Experienced and knowledgeable with optimizing/tackle software deployments
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) skills – Intermediate
Customer requirements gathering and design writing experience
Self-managed; good interpersonal skills (written and oral); leadership of a small team
Good interpersonal skills at various levels throughout an organization
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container platforms
Ability to engage with IT departments and lead discussions about stability, reliability, security, performance requirements for infrastructure supporting SDISW applications
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Knowledge and experience in deploying, configuring, and supporting applications within Cloud (AWS and/or Azure) environments
The total cash compensation range for this position is $134,700 to $269,400 with 10% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
