About the role / Segment
This role is part of the EMEA Portfolio Development and PreSales Management team and will be responsible for managing the EMEA PreSales Account Development ( PAD ) resources. The PAD team is aligned by Industry, leading and supporting strategic engagements across EMEA.
You will promote the go to market strategy of the business driving engagements through Digital Threads. You will provide coaching in, the development and delivery of customer vision, executive presentations as well as lead/coordinate and support major pursuits agreeing common approach and priorities.
With this you will manage day to day business operations including budget/cost control, business planning, monitoring, and reporting. Manage personnel decisions such as recruitment, training and development, performance management, etc., in line with relevant regulations. Participate in relevant Zone level meetings and/or councils contributing to planning and reporting for required activity. Contribute to global initiatives originating from agreed council priorities and strategy. Act as a role model for the Zone and Global PreSales PAD community.
Area of responsibility
Business Operations Management – Managing the PAD team, corporate direction, resource and budget planning. Be an escalation point for process and customer issues whilst ensuring an efficient structure within the team
Leadership – Define the strategic direction of the PreSales business, developing initiatives towards its evolution, process improvement and knowledge management that support the country and PreSales PAD business objectives
People Management - Take ownership of and drive the recruitment and selection of relevant PreSales staff, take ownership of and/or contribute to the PreSales PAD workforce and succession planning process, undertake regular performance appraisals according to Siemens HR processes, ensure appropriate learning and development plans are established for direct reports
Mentoring - Provide advice and coaching to PreSales team on the development and delivery of high quality Value oriented, and technical presentations, serve as a business & commercial advocate within the PreSales team to deliver guidance and advice on business rigor within customer facing agenda and software sales pursuit
PreSales Delivery - Support definition of Sales Account Strategy and Opportunity Planning with supporting Value Proposition, Solution Outline and presentations. For Strategic bid proposals, lead the bid team, liaise across the sales, presales and services functions to provide oversight and consultancy for, and communicate a clear vision of, the proposed solution within the industry context of the customer.
General - Support the organizational culture, values and reputation in company markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
Experience in a team management role in customer-facing business development presales technical environment
Able to understand, articulate, position and present the value of Siemens solutions in the context of an Industry, and client business value
Experience in leading senior level discussions
An excellent communicator with business acumen and strong understanding of Industry/Process
Proactive and energetic with a high degree of self-motivation to develop and grow the PAD team
Able to travel to EMEA countries and communicate effectively with multiple nationalities and cultures
Able to work in a EMEA role in collaboration with country teams, in a consultative and directive mode
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or similar field
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence/negotiate and garner support for objectives
Skilled diplomat with high levels of professional confidence and business acumen
Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience of successfully working across organizational lines and strong executive presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
This role can be based out of any European country remotely
