About the role / Segment

Siemens has an organization structure to provide focus and coordination for cross-business unit go-to-market in high priority industries, called Siemens Vertical Markets. The SVM organization for a given industry focuses on cross-business unit solution opportunities.

The Digital Industry Software (DISW) business unit goes to market by industry and participates in all relevant Siemens SVM organizations. The Marketing Manager & DigitaI Industry Software SVM Expert is a senior and highly skilled individual contributor role to direct and coordinate DISW involvement with all relevant SVM organizations. This role interacts with executives and senior leaders within DISW, the SVM organization and other Siemens business units to accelerate DISW growth in each industry and improve DISW return on investment in the SVM.

As a Marketing Manager & DigitaI Industry Software SVM Expert you will lead the coordination between DI SW and the SVMs for target setting and sales related topics, marketing activity, and support for key accounts. Represent DI SW at the SVM expert meetings. Brief DI SW management on SVM Council results.

In this role, you will work closely with industry leaders and solution directors, and field experts to determine the best messaging and positioning, develop engaging content that helps the market understand the unique value proposition Siemens provides for the SVM industries.


  • Lead the coordination between DI SW and the SVM for target setting and sales related topics, marketing activity, and support for key accounts. Represent DI SW at the SVM expert meetings. Brief DI SW management on SVM Council results.

  • Leads marketing activities or services as a senior level marketing manager in a large corporation.

  • Collaborates with marketing leaders within DISW, other Siemens divisions and the SVM organizations to identify, develop, and implement effective and productive industry strategies, plans and campaigns.

  • Directs the extended organization to enable SVM to effectively execute go-to-market campaigns

  • Leads responsibilities in several areas of marketing, including campaign ownership, messaging, content development, and project management. This is inclusive of creating content (marketing campaign collateral) and project managing virtual internal and external teams in the development of campaign collateral in order to grow our business in the battery industry.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Direct industry experience working with engineers and/or other technical roles

  • Background that includes experience applying PLM related software solutions

  • Experience in a marketing and/or sales role; with strong ability to synthesize solution capability and process impact into customer business value

  • Experience in a program management role; with strong organizational and change management skills and a strong sense of ownership/bias for

  • action to deliver results

  • Strong marketing experience working with engineering and/or manufacturing oriented software solutions in the water treatment industry

  • Ability to facilitate, manage and lead cross functional teams to drive project completion

  • Excellent written skills, including the ability to develop clear messaging concepts and author appropriate content to support marketing execution and sales enablement

  • Must be a flexible and creative individual capable of leading and managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast paced, often ambiguous and diverse environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision; This is an individual contributor role

  • Team player and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships

  • Structured thinker and excellent analytical skills

  • Excellent English communication skills

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering

  • 5+ years’ experience in or working with the water treatment industry

  • Marketing content/campaign creation experience (B2B) with specific background in messaging, collateral development, etc.

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment, or remote

  • Travel 10-20%
