Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated software quality engineer to work on Calibre’s parasitic extraction software product in the Design to Silicon business unit. These products deliver accurate parasitic data for comprehensive post-layout analysis and simulation of integrated circuit designs. You will be part of a team responsible for testing, debugging, and qualifying software releases and updates. Quality assurance responsibilities will involve the design, development, and execution of application-specific functional and regression tests used to measure the quality, robustness, performance, and usefulness of these products in our customer's semiconductor design flow. You will collaborate with senior software engineers, quality assurance specialists, marketing, and customer support professionals to help deliver timely product releases that provide value to our customers. The ideal engineer will develop and maintain a product test environment that supports quality assurance testing of releases and patches as well as be challenged to develop innovative automated test cases and develop the processes and tools needed to influence and improve the quality of the Calibre xACT product.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience with automating and maintaining regression test suites
Prior experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms.
Shell Scripting experience or other scripting languages (e.g., bash , ksh , csh, Perl , Python )
Programming experience in C, C++ , or Java
Familiar with using defect tracking systems
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Practical experience with source code control tools (e.g., GIT , Perforce , Subversion , CVS , etc.)
Software quality assurance expertise and process knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
An understanding of IC physical design, layout, and verification flows is highly desired
Knowledge of IC manufacturing process flows is beneficial

The salary range for this position is $78,500 to $141,300, and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
